Getting around Australia by bus

If you have the time bus travel is probably the easiest way to get around Australia. Be advised that it can be a monotonous mode of travel, particularly when you are travelling long distances, as it may take you several days to reach your destination.

Bus travel in Australia is generally reliable and relatively inexpensive. It will also provide you with the most extensive network of destinations that you can travel to. The condition and quality of buses in Australia is also quite good and most should have air conditioning, toilets and video. All buses are smoke free.
