  • Here you can get some good small waves, best in south-westerly to north-westerly swells and north-easterly to south-easterly winds. This is also a popular windsurfing spot.

Sunset Beach

  • Is popular during winter when bigger swells create better surfing conditions.

Hell's Gate

  • About 800 metres offshore at Point Moore are extensive offshore reefs. It's a long paddle but Hells Gate can pick up some good swell and can turn into a serious, long, hollow right-hander reef break, over a shallow bottom. Best in 2 - 3 metre westerly to south-westerly swells and north-easterly to easterly winds. For experienced surfers only.
