Warrnambool beaches

There is plenty of sandy beach areas around Warrnambool. Directly in front of the town is Lady Bay. This more protected area often provides good conditions for swimmers and is patrolled by surf lifesavers during the summer. There are also over 29 shipwrecks in Lady Bay with interpretative signage highlighting some of these tragedies.

While you are here, check out Warrnambool's Foreshore Promenade. This is a 5.7 kilometre track that stretches from the Breakwater along the coastline to the famous Southern Right Whale Nursery at Logans Beach.
