Melbourne's bars, pubs, clubs and live music

There is no shortage of clubs, pubs, bars and live music venues in Melbourne. You will find some of the coolest places here, often hidden away down laneways and alleys. There is such a wide variety, from cheap typical Aussie pubs, to incredibly stylish bars and wine bars, to more grungy hangouts with lots of atmosphere, to super clubs with the best DJ's pumping out music to early in the morning.

Melbourne is also well-known for its live music scene. There are plenty of places scattered around town with local and touring acts performing every night of the week. The live music ranges from rock, to blues, to latin, to jazz and anything in between. There are also lots of big name acts that come to Melbourne to do concerts at some of the larger venues.

If you still looking for more, there are some of the best music festivals around, playing a vast variety of music and attracting local and big name acts. Check out festivals like the Big Day Out, Good Vibrations, Summafieldayze, Soundwave, Future Music and St Jerome's Laneway Festival.
