Hobart shopping

There is plenty of great shopping in Hobart. The main shopping area in downtown Hobart is around the Elizabeth Street Mall and adjoining Liverpool and Collins Streets. Here you will find most things you would want.

There are also a number of other shopping centres located in the outer suburbs of Hobart.

Salamanca Markets

This very popular outdoor market offers plenty of variety. You can shop here for locally grown organic fruit and vegetables, local Tasmanian arts and crafts, fashion and an array of other products.

The markets are located at Salamanca Place, which is Hobart's cultural and entertainment hub. Here you will find galleries, theatres, cafes, restaurants and various shops, all set in the historic beautiful waterfront buildings. The markets are on the street directly in front.

The markets operate every Saturday from 0830 until 1500 except Christmas Day.
