Granite Island Recreation & Nature Park
(See the Little Penguins of Granite Island)

Granite Island is connected to the mainland of Victor Harbor by a causeway. The popular guided penguin tours commence at dusk every night. On the tour you can see the little penguins, which stand at approximately 35cm and weigh about 1.2kg and are the worlds' smallest penguin species.

The Penguin Centre

This centre includes an interactive penguin display and interpretation of the behaviours and adaptations of the island's penguin colony. The centre also contains numerous artificial burrows where wild penguins can be viewed through viewing windows. In addition, the centre has a penguin rehabilitation centre for sick and injured penguins from the Fleurieu Peninsula area.
