Gold Coast shopping

There is no shortage of shopping opportunities on the Gold Coast, with everything from main street shopping strips to huge air conditioned shopping centres.

The main shopping strip area would be around Surfers Paradise. Here you will find almost everything you would want. Also, there are other fairly extensive shopping strip areas at Main Beach, Southport, Broadbeach, Burleigh and Coolangatta.

About 10 minutes drive south of Surfers Paradise is the largest shopping centre on the Gold Coast, called Pacific Fair. This centre has several major department stores, almost 300 specialty stores, (particularly in the area of fashion) and a 12 movie cinema complex.

There are also numerous other shopping centres located right along the Gold Coast.

Surfers Paradise Beachfront Markets

Every Wednesday and Friday evening, the Esplanade at Surfers Paradise turns into a buying market with over 100 market stalls selling a range of homewares, clothing, jewellery and accessories, quirky gifts, toys, memorabilia and heaps more.
