Beaches

Bundaberg is located around 13 km inland from the coastline. There are plenty of great beaches suitable for swimming and surfing located with in just a short drive from Bundaberg. These are listed below.

Kelly's Beach

A good spot for swimming with a lagoon at the southern end and a man-made rock pool at the northern end.

Elliott Heads

Located 20kms south-east of Bundaberg. The main beach is 200 metres long, but it also has a 2km long inlet beach that provides for safe swimming.

Innes Park Beach

A good place for swimming and rock-pool fossicking.

Coral Cove

A good place for snorkellers.

Nielsen Park

A good surf beach just north of Bargara. Has patrolled life-savers in season.

Moore Park

20 minutes from Bundaberg, this sandy beach is 17km long and a good spot for swimming.

Woodgate Beach

A safe stinger-free beaches making it great for swimming.

Mon Repos Beach

A good for snorkelling or swimming. During turtle season it is closed from 6pm - 6am to ensure the safety of nesting and hatching turtles.

Oaks beach

18kms northeast of Bundaberg, this small beach is good for snorkelling, fishing, rock walking or swimming.
