South West Rocks beaches

Trail Bay beach

Situated right in front of the township, this offers a nice, more protected beach ideal for swimming.

Horseshoe Bay

Located in the centre of town, this popular beach features sits in a sheltered cove making it good for swimming.

Main Beach

Located on the eastern side of the Horseshoe Bay headland, this long, sandy beach is perfect for sunbaking and swimming.

South Smoky Beach

This beach stretches about 15km south from Smoky Cape Lighthouse and can be accessed with a 4WD if you have a beach driving permit. You will find it easy to located a secluded section of beach here.

Hat Head

The small township of Hat Head is located south of South West Rocks. The headland here can produce some nice waves for surfers.
