Skiing, snowboarding and other snow sports
(June to September/October)

The highest ski fields in Australia are here, all within Kosciuszko National Park, where Australia's tallest mountain is located - Mount Kosciuszko.

Thredbo

Thredbo has over 480 hectares of snow-riding territory and is home to the longest ski runs in Australia. There are plenty of opportunities for all levels of snow sports ranging from first time slides down Friday Flat to seeking an adrenaline rush and launching air off The Bluff. You can also explore the magical back country.

Perisher Blue

Perisher Blue combines four resorts; Perisher Valley, Smiggins, Blue Cow and Guthega. There are over 50 ski lifts available and more than 100 km of cross country skiing tracks to explore.

Charlotte Pass

At 1,760 metres above sea level, this is Australia's highest village and is also the closest village to Mount Kosciuszko. From here you can cross-country ski some of the most scenic parts of the alpine High Country. You can also do some night skiing on Kangaroo Ridge, or do one of the downhill runs, which cater for all levels of skiers.

Mount Selwyn

There is over 45 hectares of terrain with 11 lifts, which is great for skiing, snowboarding, snow tubing, tobogganing, cross country skiing, snow shoeing and other snow play.
