Wellington Caves & Phosphate Mine

Just outside the nearby town of Wellington are the Wellington Caves and Phosphate Mine. The site has two show caves; The Cathedral Cave, known to have one of the world's largest stalagmites (at 15 metres in height), and the Gaden Cave. There is also the recently rediscovered Water Cave and the challenging River Cave, which are open to only the most experienced cave diving enthusiasts.

The complex also includes The Phosphate Mine, which features the old workings from a World War I mine and bone fragments and fossils from a prehistoric era.
