Ballina beaches

Angels Beach

  • One of the prettiest beaches in the area because of the green corridor adjacent to the beach, it can be a good surfing spot in the right conditions.

Lighthouse Beach

  • Sometimes known as Main Beach by the locals, it is a good swimming beach and sometimes has a good break for surfing. The beach is patrolled by lifeguards and lifesavers from September to the end of the Easter break.

South Ballina Beach

  • Less crowded as it is little more difficult to access and the South Wall can be a good surfing spot.

Sharpes Beach

  • A well known surfing area, this beach is patrolled in the summer holidays.

Shelly Beach

  • This is a patrolled beach during summer and is great for swimming.
