Yallingup Highlights

  • Some excellent surfing spots here including Three Bears, Yallingup, Supertubes, Smith's Beach and Injidup.

  • See some amazing stalactite, stalagmite, helicitite and shawl formations at Ngilgi Cave.

  • Witness the dramatic and rugged coastline in the region. You can see sea cliffs, windswept granite headlands and pristine beaches.

  • Walk the Cape to Cape Track, which stretches 140 kilometres from Cape Leeuwin to Cape Naturaliste. The total journey takes between 5-6 days along the way revealing the magnificent coastal scenery, heathlands and forests of the Leeuwin-Naturaliste Ridge.

  • Check out the unusual marine rock formations off Caves Road in the Leeuwin-Cape Naturaliste National Park, which is a series of protruding rocks forming a natural canal.

  • Head to the Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse and Maritime Museum. From here you can take a variety of walking trails along the coastline and see some spectacular views over Geographe Bay and the Cape coastline.

  • Visit the Wardan Aboriginal Cultural Centre, which exhibits and sells the works of the Wardandi people.

About Yallingup

Population 300

Located 266 kilometres south of Perth and 34 kilometres west of Busselton, this small village is best known for its excellent surf breaks of Three Bears, Yallingup, Supertubes, Smith's Beach and Injidup.

Nearby is also the Ngilgi Cave, which is one of the Cape's most visited attractions.

Yallingup is also close to the Margaret River Wine Region where you can try some of the best wines in Australia.

The Cape to Cape Track starts not far from here at Cape Naturaliste. The walking track extends 140 kilometres all the way south to Cape Leeuwin, passing through the rugged and spectacular Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park.

Yallingup is also close to the Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse and Maritime Museum. From here you can take a variety of walking trails along the coastline and see some spectacular views over Geographe Bay and the Cape coastline. You can also learn about the maritime history of the area at the museum.

If you would like to see or purchase some beautiful Aboriginal art, visit the Wardan Aboriginal Cultural Centre, which exhibits and sells works of the Wardandi people.
