Cervantes Highlights

  • See the extraordinary ancient rock formations (limestone pillars) that rise eerily out of the sand, some several metres tall, dotted throughout the sandy Pinnacles Desert.

  • Laze away on the stunning white, pristine beaches that provide a great backdrop to the beautiful turquoise ocean. Alternatively, these beaches are a great place for swimming, snorkelling, boating and fishing.

  • Check out Emu Downs Wind Farm where there are 48 massive turbines extending almost 120 metres in the air.

  • Visit Lake Thetis and the stromatolites (laminated, rock-like structures). These natural features are created by the oldest known organisms on Earth.

However, the main tourist attraction of this tiny village is the nearby Pinnacles Desert, which is a part of the Nambung National Park. Here you can see extraordinary ancient rock formations (limestone pillars) that rise eerily out of the sand, some several metres tall, dotted throughout the sandy desert.
