South Yarra, Prahran and Windsor

This is one of the more exclusive areas of Melbourne and real estate here is very expensive. South Yarra and neighbouring Prahran are renowned for their great shopping, particularly fashion, with many excellent shops to choose from, ranging from budget to the very expensive. Most of these are located on Chapel Street.

The area also has many good cafes, restaurants and a happening nightlife.

There is a reasonable sized gay population, with several nightclub and bars catering to this market.
