Take the High Country Brewery Trail and stop in at one of the local boutique breweries in the region.

Drive the 308km Great Alpine Road, which takes you past a variety of landscapes and attractions such as alpine mountain ranges, hidden valleys, lush forests, rivers and rural lands.

There are some great tracks around Bright for mountain biking and cycling that offer a variety of challenges and cater for different rider ability.

Head to Mystic Hill in Bright to try out Paragliding and Microlighting (powered hang gliding).

Bright is a good base to access the nearby ski fields at Mount Hotham, Mount Buffalo and Falls Creek for some great skiing, snowboarding and other snow sports from June to the end of September.

Head to nearby Alpine National Park where extensive snowfields are the primary winter attraction and in the warmer months there are stunning wildflower displays and opportunities for bushwalks and four wheel driving.

About Bright
Population 1,900
This small holiday town located in the foothills of the Victorian High Country, is particularly pretty in autumn, when the deciduous trees in the town and surrounding countryside put on a breathtaking display of colour.
Mt Buffalo National Park is a ½ hour drive from Bright. Here you can see some spectacular scenery and wildlife all year round, and in winter Mt Buffalo becomes a great snow skiing resort. Bright is also in close location to the ski fields of Falls Creek and Mount Hotham.
In summer there are many activities available in and around Bright and the neighbouring ski fields including bushwalking, fishing, swimming, horse riding, paragliding, rock climbing and abseiling to name a few.
The area is also becoming well-known for its great food and wine, with world-class wineries, local boutique breweries, fresh local produce and very good cafes and restaurants to choose from.
