Berri is situated on the banks of the Murray River right in the heart of the Riverland country. The town is surrounded by large orchards, making this place ideal to pick up some seasonal fruit picking work.
While you are here, you could also explore the Murray River National Park. The park features floodplains and several wetlands as well as a number of wildlife species such as the western grey kangaroos, emus, pelicans, kingfishers and parrots.
You could also spend some time at Martins Bend Reserve, which is situated on the banks of the Murray River just a short distance from the centre of Berri. This is a popular spot for swimming, water skiing, picnicing and barbequeing.
