About Kings Canyon (Watarrka National Park)
Kings Canyon is characterised by ancient sandstone walls that rise up to 100 metres to a plateau. On top of the plateau you will find many rocky domes, which look like large beehives.
There are also sheltered water holes surrounded with lush green vegetation, one of the most popular is called the "Garden of Eden".
There are some great walking trails offering some spectacular views of the gorge and surrounding region. There is also over 600 different plant species, as well as various species of wildlife that can make for great sightseeing.
