About Murwillumbah
Population 7,000
Murwillumbah is halfway between Byron Bay and Tweed Heads and lies on the west bank of the Tweed River. It is mainly a service town for the large sugar and banana growing farming areas that surround the town.
It is also a great base to access the nearby World Heritage Listed national parks of Nightcap, Border Ranges, Lamington, Mt Warning and Springbrook.
