About Mullumbimby

Population 3,000

Situated on the Brunswick River overshadowed by subtropical hills, this laid-back alternative lifestyle centre is a good side trip from Byron Bay.

It is a good place to explore the interesting shops or treat yourself to some alternative therapies. You can take a walk and see some of the 200 rainforest species in the Brunswick Valley Heritage Park. The Crystal Castle also has one of the largest displays of crystals in the country and some nice landscapes to wander through.

There are also the Mullumbimby markets, which are held in the reserve behind the Stuart Street Museum on the third Saturday of the month. The markets have a variety of arts and crafts, bric a brac, food, music and produce.
