About Ballina
Population 35,000
Ballina lies on the north coast of New South Wales and is a thriving commercial and tourism centre and a quieter alternative to Byron Bay (just 20 minutes away). The town is surrounded by 32 kilometres of sandy beaches, making it a good destination for surfing, swimming, fishing or just chillin on the beach. It is also well-known for its cycling tracks if you feel in the mood for some exercise.
